1st Day of 1st Grade

Sam was a real trooper, going to a new school this morning with new teachers, new kids, new classrooms without even batting an eye. I was a bundle of nerves and I just had to drop him off, grab a bagel and leave! I think he's going to do great this year, and though he misses his friends (especially Garrick), I watched him start making new friends and putting down new roots. Thank heavens for the resilience of kids!

Wow, you have a first grader and Grace will be in kindergarten next year. I hope Sam makes all the friends in the world and has a great experience.

At least you didn't have to wait for a bus that never came... They hopefully will have those problems figured out and my boy won't be late for class anymore!!

I'm so glad that he is enjoying himself. Can't wait to hear about he whole day!!

Yay! I knew he was nervous, but I'm glad it worked out! Aleksia was excited today when she came home from her first real day of K, "Guess what Mom? I have a girl in my class named Grace too! AND I get to sit by her. I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have two friends named Grace!" So your Grace hasn't been forgotten, she still misses her!

I'm just catching up on blogs...man you guys have been busy. I love blogging. It lets me check into your world. But it still makes us miss you guys. Tonight at dinner Sam and grace were a topic of interest and the discussion on why you had to move.
Next time we are up in Spokane we should get together.
